This mural was developed through a painting series. The series covered and explored the topic of consumerism and society’s shallow goals for the individual. This mural is to shock the viewer into questioning what the message is saying. The imagery of Mary represents who we strive to be, holy and sinless, but also how obedient we are to society.

 

This mural was located in the fine arts college at Sam Houston State University and was displayed for 3 months as part of a revolving billboard that artists & students display mural work. It had attracted lots of community engagement and brought people to the art college on campus.
